Historical Charm, Architectural Details

Posted: September 30, 2012 in Uncategorized

Corinthian pillars  a cast-iron tub complete with claw feed, and stained-glass windows are just a few of the reasons I fell in love with our house.  Throughout the years, and different owners, the historical accent pieces have been updated and modernized.  It is my hope that we can restore some of the original charm to the home during our renovation process   As a novice to restoring the historical integrity of a home, not to mention being new to home ownership and renovation projects in genera, I didn’t have a clue where to start looking for time specific architectural pieces.  I was recently reading a renovation project on a blog that mentioned there are many places online that offer both original detail pieces and refurbished pieces as well, which might be a little friendlier on our budget.
